ESR Static Electronic Voltage Stabilisers work automatically to regulate and protect the load from the vagaries of the utility mains supply, even for the most challenging of power environments or site loads.

Being specifically designed to meet the requirements of today’s modern loads, ESR Voltage Stabilisers are configured for optimal energy efficiency and design life expectancy. While output voltage accuracy is set by default to ±3%, this is easily site-adjustable to deliver a more or less precise output voltage accuracy - as considered most appropriate for a particular site’s needs.

As feature rich solutions they offer as standard surge suppression, input and output isolation together with a manual and automatic bypass facility.

Permissible Input Voltage Window Options

 
ESR Static Voltage Stabilisers and Regulators - Input Voltage Swing  

In situations where there is a reasonably good mains supply, a Stabiliser offering an input variation swing of ±15% (S15 Models) will usually be more than acceptable, but in more remote locations, or countries where the national supply infrastructure is less developed, variations of ±20% or greater may be needed to be accommodated by the Stabiliser.

  TIP - The wider the permissible input voltage window you wish the Stabiliser to accomodate , the more expensive the Stabiliser. So, when selecting the most appropriate and cost efficient model for your application, it pays to know the state of the utility mains supply on site and the designed input voltage tolerances of the load equipment you wish to protect. 

Adjustable Output Voltage Accuarcy

In general, when suppliers of today’s modern electrical and electronic equipment design their products they do so knowing that most electrical utilities around the world cannot provide, or promise, better than a ±5% output voltage accuracy of nominal and as such they design their equipment so it is able to operate efficiently within this range.

ESR Stabilisers are specifically designed to meet the requirements of today’s modern loads, with the output voltage accuracy set (as default) to deliver optimal energy efficiency and design life expectancy at ±3% , however they are easily site-adjustable to deliver a more or less precise output voltage accuracy - as considered most appropriate for a client's particular site needs.

ESR-6H-200H-3P-T1-S20 (400V)

Typical Construction

ESR Series Three Phase Voltage Stabilisers are enclosed in robust floor standing air-cooled cubicles, being built upon a rigid / substantial steel framework construction and offering lockable front door access and removable side panels for ease of installation and servicing.

Supplied as standard with bottom cable entry (top entry to specific order), ESR Stabilisers offer IP20 / NEMA 1 Style Ingress Protection and are supplied complete with an epoxy powder heavy duty Pebble Grey (RAL 7032) orange peel paint finish.

 

IP54 / NEMA 3 Style Ingress Protection for Indoor and Outdoor Installations

Where required ESR Series Voltage Stabilisers can also be supplied in IP54 / NEMA 3 Style, or alternative lower rated, ingress protection enclosures - ideal for Outdoor or more demanding Indoor installations.
